Welcome to The Crochet Room! I'm so glad you're here. Crochet found me eight years ago when my daughter gave me my first skein of yarn, a crochet hook and a book. What started as "maybe I'll learn to crochet" turned into a whole lot more 00 and a whole lot of handmade happiness.
I Like to create. I like a challenge.
And I love wondering what'll come off my hook next!
It Started With a Skein of Yarn...
My daughter gave me my first skein of yarn, a crochet hook and a book. I didn't have a grand plan -- just a curiosity to learn something new. A few stitches turned into scarves, and the next thing I knew... I was hooked!
One Thing Led to Another...
SCARVES
Scarves became my testing ground for new stitches and colors. I made them for every occasion, until I was ready for something new!
AFGHANS
Blankets opened up a whole new world! From granny squares to C2C and entrelac, I loved learning new techniques and challenging myself.
GRAPHGANS
My grandson wanted a blanket with a picture in it. I had no idea how — but I figured it out! Soon, I was designing my own patterns.
GNOMES
Looking for something to crochet on road trips, I discovered gnomes. Their folklore stole my heart, and soon every Mr. Gnome needed a Mrs.!
OCEAN LIFE
My lifelong love of the ocean found its way into my crochet! Colorful fish, fishing nets and glowing jars brought my Adopt-a-Fish collection to life.

We’re loud, we’re silly, we love hard —
and as you can probably tell,
taking a normal family picture isn’t exactly one of our strengths!
I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Why I Still Love Making Things
I love the challenge. I don’t particularly enjoy making twenty copies of the same thing. I like figuring something out, taking an idea and seeing whether I can make it work. Some of my favorite creations have started with someone asking…
